The FFA Southern Area Championships were held in bright sunshine on Sunday 6th October at Ingham near Bury St Edmunds thanks to the kind invitation of Henry Castle of Friends of Ferguson.
We Arrived Saturday to find all the plots marked out ready for the match on Sunday.Myself and a few of the FFA members spent Saturday afternoon getting some practise in ready for the " Big Plough Off "..
After we had ploughed 2 plots each we decided to do a mini "Ploughathon", ploughing the full width of the field. We call it a day about 17.30 and headed back to the caravan area for a sausage casserole .
On the sunday morning more ploughmen arrived on site plenty of good hearted banter all round .
About 09.00 we all went over to  the Ferguson tent to pay our fee and to get our plot numbers.
10.00 ploughing commenced ploughing conditions were fine apart from 1 or 2 tram lines. There was good ploughing by all members of FFA  & the Ferguson Club. Our Special Thanks to Henry Castle and the Judges for all their hard work in setting up this great ploughing Event. We hope to be back again next year with even more FFA members ploughing away and having a enjoyable day out.
